All meals are home-cooked on-site by our own kitchen team, and children are served a variety of cuisines aligned to the Health Promotion Board’s Health Promoting Preschool guidelines. Full-day children enjoy meals and snacks through the day.
We don’t provide vegetarian meals, but vegetarian children are welcome to bring food from home and we’ll warm and serve it with care.
Full day programme runs from 7am – 7pm, Mondays to Fridays.
The day starts with Visual Screening, then Assembly with songs, Outdoor Play, Core Curriculum including Mother-Tongue, followed by Lunch, Nap, Tea, and Enrichment Programmes.
Half day programme ends at lunch.
Photos and updates through the LittleLives Family Room app, and teachers are just a WhatsApp message away. Formal parent-teacher meetings are held online in the May/June and/or November/December period. And because we’re a small school, you’ll also simply chat with the teacher at drop-off or pick-up.
We are closed on weekends and public holidays. Each year, we are also closed for 6 days, mainly for Professional Development and Special Events. All dates will be shared with parents every January so that families can plan ahead.
We’d love that! Just give the teachers at least two weeks’ notice so they can weave the celebration into the class programme.
Full-day childcare is $1,300/month and half-day is $850/month, with a $100 one-time registration fee and a one-month deposit (charged at the before-subsidy rate) that offsets your child’s final month.
Every Singapore Citizen child receives the ECDA Basic Subsidy ($300/month full-day for working mothers), and most working families also qualify for the Additional Subsidy, bringing typical net fees to $533-$920/month. Try the calculator on our Fees page for your exact tier.
Yes, subsidies follow the child, not the operator. NLK is a fully ECDA-licensed childcare centre, so the Basic and Additional Subsidies apply here exactly as they do anywhere else. The only difference from ‘anchor operator’ chains is that our sticker fee is higher, as it is inclusive of low student to teacher ratios, veteran teachers, a real kitchen, and programmes like robotics and music that are usually charged as extras.
Absolutely, and they always have for over 40 years. We accept children of all races and religions. We are open about who we are: children hear Bible stories each week and sing songs about God’s love, and our values (Nurturing, Loving, Kind) are practised daily. Many of our most loyal families are not Christian; they choose us for the character formation and the warmth.
Completely okay. Our Playgroup and Pre-Nursery teachers partner with you on toilet training as part of the programme bringing decades of experience and zero judgment.

While ECDA allows a ratio of up to 1 teacher to 25 children for Kindergarten 2, New Life Kindercare maintains an average ratio of approximately 1 teacher to 12 children. Our smaller class sizes allow educators to give each child more individual attention, understand their learning needs and build stronger, nurturing relationships.
Actual ratios may vary according to class level and enrolment while remaining within ECDA requirements.
English is the medium of instruction, with Mandarin and Tamil mother-tongue classes. Our Tamil programme is a rarity in preschools, built over 30 years by Mrs Sam, whose graduates routinely excel in Tamil in primary school.
